Barbara's childhood began in Wimbledon, London UK in 1946. Her interest in art grew as a child, when watching her father paint as a self-employed commercial artist. She didn't follow art seriously until late retirement in 2009. She has since joined two local art groups in Surrey
Barbara is self taught, and has sold many of her paintings. She enjoys working in most mediums, such as: -
Oil, watercolour, encaustic wax, acrylic, pastel, pencil, and charcoal.
Barbara attained a City & Guilds distinction in Computer Aided Design (CAD) at Carshalton College, Surrey UK in 1994.
